CGBT Team Work Essentials
Although CBT can be a personal and emotional experience, it can also be used in group settings to create cohesive and compassionate relationships, this is known as Cognitive Group Behavioural Therapy (CGBT). Sharing personal experiences and struggles can relinquish much of the feelings of shame that can be associated with mental health challenges.
Everyone engages differently, so we start our group sessions gently, so users can contribute as much as they feel comfortable with at the start and build confidence.
When we think of psychotherapy, we often associate it with 1:1 sessions; however, group therapy and wellness sessions are a cost-effective option for companies and a beneficial supplementary treatment.
Our two main group options:
Office Wellbeing Services: as a group, we collectively examine the challenges people face in the workplace and at home and find commonalities amongst users. Within a group setting, participants can provide feedback to their peers and propose unique suggestions on their own lifestyle choices. This particular sense of support can cultivate lasting relationships and improve an individual’s self-confidence and belief and performance at work.
Group Workshops: A popular theme in our group workshops is allowing participants to steer the conversation towards issues that bother them. Under our professional guidance, we empower users to explore solutions through reflective and thought-provoking workshops using CGBT and psychoanalytic approaches.
